The job

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer who is innovative, technically competent, and truly customer-obsessed to help us with Connect integration with Licensing and Product integration with Licensing. This role will enable other AVEVA product offerings to be delivered securely while meeting SLA commitments. You will collaborate with Cloud Operations, System Testing, and AVEVA product teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for design, development, and hands-on implementation of Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud solutions.
  • Serve as a Microsoft Azure/AWS technical resource in team’s efforts to determine the needs of our client’s businesses that will simplify and automate the applications as well as make them more efficient.
  • Participate in planning, implementation, and growth of our customer's footprint.
  • Work closely with other architects and engineers to recommend and design infrastructure, database, or data storage solutions that effectively reflect our client’s business needs, security, and service level requirements.
  • Work with application and infrastructure teams to conduct proof of concepts (POCs) and implement Production-ready designs in Microsoft Azure/AWS.
  • Align solutions with standards and best practices working with cross-functional engineering and consulting teams.
  • Perform risk analysis & create mitigation strategies for continuous evaluation and validation or system design and architecture.
  • Ability to produce as-built documentation and materials.
  • Ability to design, build, and execute automation frameworks for deployment of MS Azure Cloud Environments (based on ARM templates, Terraform, PowerShell, others).
  • Establish strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers across our various business units.
  • Contribute to the development of internal best practices as well as new innovative consulting services offerings that we can take to market.
  • Build a community and following around our company solutions and brand awareness.

Essential requirements

  • Bachelor's in computer science engineering or related degree.
  • 7+ Years of on-the-job experience software developer in software development environment.
  • Proficiency with Application development using C#, .NET technologies.
  • Proficiency with Angular web development framework.
  • Proficiency with multiple software development languages including Typescript, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Proficiency with SaaS applications development using Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
  • Experience on creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
  • Experience on debugging, diagnostics, and Unit Testing.
  • Experience of working in agile environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills, Open, proactive, results oriented, self-organized and self-motivated.
  • Professional and precise communication skills.

Desired skills and competencies

  • Knowledge of working AWS Cloud Platform, including deployment, provisioning, and high availability of Web Applications.
  • Knowledge of Software Entitlement and Licensing.
