The QHSE Associate plays a critical role in supporting Avetta’s EMEA operations by conducting manual audits, verifying contractor safety documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and client‑specific requirements. This role is essential in driving CARES+ values – Communication, Accountability, Responsiveness, Empathy, and Solution – through proactive engagement with EU suppliers and contractors. Fluent in English and either Italian or German. Full working rights in the UK are required. Remote is the default location, but candidates who reside within commutable distance to our Maidenhead office may come in for a hybrid schedule (3 days in‑office, 2 days remote). Those outside the commutable radius but located in England or Wales are considered on a remote basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct Manual Audits to assess a Contractor’s Safety and Health Programs, Procedures, and Training documentation required based on exposure hazards associated with services performed.
- Complete audits within defined SLA timelines (e.g., 10 business days for manual audits).
- Maintain audit quality and compliance with Avetta protocols (≥95 % per quarter).
- Provide technical guidance and support to contractors to close audit gaps.
- Respond to supplier inquiries via email or phone within 24–48 hours, documenting all correspondence.
- Assist in audit closure and verification processes.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in contractor account notes.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the QHSE Lead, EMEA or designated Safety Professionals.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support EU supplier engagement and continuous improvement.
- Must have reliable transportation.

- Attend internal and external training, meetings or seminars as required.
- Support special projects or initiatives within the EMEA region.
