I'm currently supporting an established laboratory organisation with the appointment of an experienced laboratory manager position.
This is an excellent opportunity for an operational leader with a strong technical background who enjoys managing people, driving performance and ensuring the effective delivery of laboratory services.
The role:
- - Lead and develop a team of approximately 30–40 laboratory professionals.
- - Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring efficiency, quality and performance.
- - Take responsibility for budgets, resource planning and operational KPIs.
- - Drive continuous improvement, productivity and operational excellence.
- - Ensure high standards of quality, health and safety and regulatory compliance.
- - Work closely with senior management to support operational and commercial objectives.
What we're looking for:
- - A strong background in chemistry and laboratory operations.
- - Experience within commercial laboratory environment.
- - Candidates from environmental, water, food or other analytical testing laboratories are particularly welcome.
- - Proven experience managing and developing laboratory teams.
- - Demonstrable budget management and operational planning experience.
- - Strong leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
