Analytical Scientist – Pharmaceutical Testing

Are you a Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Science graduate looking to start your career in pharmaceutical analytical testing? Or perhaps you're currently working in a QC laboratory and looking for your next opportunity?
I'm currently recruiting for an Analytical Scientist to join an established analytical testing team supporting a leading pharmaceutical organisation based in the Wirral.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise and gain valuable experience within a regulated pharmaceutical laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing using techniques such as HPLC, UPLC and GC.
- Support routine pharmaceutical quality control testing.
- Follow established laboratory procedures and analytical methods.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure testing is completed to the required quality standards.
- Support laboratory investigations and analytical activities as required.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Analytical Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline.
- Practical knowledge or experience of analytical techniques, particularly HPLC, UPLC or GC.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a laboratory environment.
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical QC or GMP-regulated laboratories would be advantageous but is not essential.
Recent Graduates Encouraged to Apply
Candidates who have completed an industrial placement, laboratory internship or university research project involving chromatography or analytical chemistry are particularly encouraged to apply.
Previous pharmaceutical industry experience is not essential, provided you have relevant practical analytical laboratory exposure.
