ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus will be to lead and inspire a team to deliver excellent person-centred quality care to residents in a safe, caring and stimulating environment, whilst meeting regulatory requirements, professional and statutory standards, and business performance targets.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality care, person-centred care and ensuring residents receive care based on best practice.
  • Being responsible for the ongoing recruitment, retention, and development of staff within the Home.
  • Acting as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in residents’ wellbeing.
  • Ensuring safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained in accordance with both occupancy and dependency.
  • Providing ongoing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
  • Ensuring costs are well managed and maintained within budgetary controls, by reviewing regularly and monitoring stock.

Our ideal candidate must:

  • Have a minimum of four years of experience in a similar care environment.
  • Have Leadership and Management Level 5 or equivalent.
  • Hold a current NMC.
  • Possess excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and be competent in IT.
  • Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
