Your role as a Nursing Care Manager will be to ensure the delivery of effective nursing care to residents in a nursing home and to manage the Registered General Nurses on your team directly.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the resident assessment process, ensuring that the plan of care is accurate and reflected in the care needs summary, that the resident is involved in identifying needs and preferences, and integration of all information into a person-centred care plan.
  • Ensure that all relevant information related to each resident is communicated using the most appropriate method (e.g., APB, handover, MCM) to proper staff to achieve a person-centred approach.
  • Take overall responsibility for the management of the Nursing Team, introducing effective communication mechanisms (such as team meetings, communication boards).
  • Arrange meetings, organise agendas, track attendance, outcomes, actions, and minutes.
  • Support, guide and develop team members by carrying out regular supervisions/one-to-ones and yearly reviews and supporting individual performance management plans for identified staff.
Qualifications
  • Hold a Registered Nurse qualification.
  • Have 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience, with evidence of ongoing professional development in elderly care or a relevant field.
  • Possess previous management experience and a comprehensive understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to manage interpersonal relationships, including effective influencing skills.

Please Note This Role Will Require A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
