ABOUT THE ROLE

Your role as Kitchen Assistant involves supporting food preparation and maintaining a clean environment to ensure the safe production of meals and beverages, delivering high-quality service to residents. Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding safe food handling principles to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Contributing positively to teamwork, responding promptly to colleagues, and following work instructions.
  • Managing the supply and quality of kitchen items, including timely ordering of replacements.
  • Respecting residents and their visitors, upholding dignity and individuality.

  • Holds a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrates high personal hygiene standards.
  • Has knowledge of Health and Safety practices, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
  • Is efficient, capable of sustained physical effort, and able to handle a demanding workload.
  • Shows initiative, flexibility, and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
  • Displays a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
