Wellbeing and Activities Assistant – Bank
Location: Greensand House Care Home, Redhill
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe living and working environment, contributing to the professional image of the home.
- Report any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
- Support the ordering and preparation of supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
- Assist in establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage wider community access and promote intergenerational activity.
Required Qualifications & Values
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of how interaction contributes to the general well‑being of people.
- Positive attitude toward older people and commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
- Previous experience working with older people in a residential nursing or dementia setting.
- Live the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all actions.
Additional Requirements
- A DBS Disclosure check, with the cost covered by Avery Healthcare.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
