About the Role

Your focus as Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator will be to provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social well-being, and to promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
  • Plan and submit to the Home Manager a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
  • Arrange activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
  • Maintain a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.

Qualifications

  • Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing dementia setting.
  • Experience organising activities and events.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
  • A positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.

Additional Requirements

  • A DBS Disclosure check (cost will be met by Avery Healthcare).
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
