About the Role

Your focus as a Maintenance Operative will be to ensure the building and grounds are well maintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks and checks to services. You will apply basic fixes to equipment and systems while ensuring the facilities are fully functional. You’ll handle all general maintenance tasks and repairs, including electrical, plumbing, and joinery work both inside and outside the home. You will also support new residents in arranging their rooms and ensure routine re‑decoration is completed to maintain home standards. Advising on the supply and quality of items used in tasks, ensuring timely ordering of replacements, and providing an out‑of‑hours emergency service by participating in the on‑call rota are also part of your responsibilities.
