About the Role
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
- Implement, monitor, and undertake monthly evaluations as part of the person‑centred care planning process.
- Support residents with their medication requirements.
- Undertake staff supervisions and support staff with their development where required.
- Act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
About You
- Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- Have 2 years’ experience working in a similar care environment.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
