Shift Details

07:00 AM - 19:30 PM or 19:30 PM - 07:00 AM – Dementia/Memory Floor.

Role Overview

Provide high standards of personal care for residents on the Dementia/Memory floor, ensuring continuity of services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal hygiene care, ensuring independence, dignity, and respect.
  • Recognise clinical risk areas (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections) and escalates risks promptly.
  • Act courteously to residents and visitors, respecting dignity and individuality.
  • Practice safe systems of work across all tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative and respect toward residents and colleagues.
  • Efficient worker able to follow reasonable instructions.
  • Adaptive and flexible to cover responsibilities on short notice.
  • Required: DBS Disclosure check (cost paid by Avery). Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Experience is not required; a thorough induction and training programme will be provided.
