We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Maintenance Operative at Braintree Mews Care Home in Braintree. If this sounds like the place for you, we’d love to hear from you!
ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as a Maintenance Operativewillbetoensurethe building and grounds are wellmaintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services applying basic fixes to equipment and systemswhilstensuringfacilities are fully functional.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Carryingout all general maintenance tasks and basic repairs includingall electrical, plumbing joinery and building tasks both inside and outside the Home.
- Supporting new residents to arrange their room as they wish.
- Ensuringroutine re-decoration is undertaken asrequiredtomaintainthe standards in thehome.
- Advisingon the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring thetimelyandappropriate orderingof replacement goods.
- Providingout of hours emergency service,participatingin the on-call rota.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in your application, you will live our values of caring,supportive,honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do.
Our ideal candidate must:
- Have a minimum of one years’ experience in a general maintenance or handy person role and/or hold a professional qualification in a trade.
- Hold a full driving licence.
- Have knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
- Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
