About the Role
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant is to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident and being aware of any changes impacting care and care plans.
- Ensuring new needs are met and written records are amended to reflect any variations.
- Involving in person‑centred care planning, implementing, monitoring and undertaking monthly evaluations.
- Supporting residents with medication requirements.
- Undertaking staff supervision and supporting staff development where required.
- Acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals, ensuring that reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
About You
To be successful you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. The ideal candidate must:
- Have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- Have at least 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment.
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Have a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
Additional Requirements
- DBS Disclosure check – the cost will be met by Avery Healthcare.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
