Main duties of the job:
- As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
- Monitoring the well-being of each resident, being aware of any change affecting care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
- Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
- Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
- Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
- Acting as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their well-being, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.

About you:

- NVQ3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
Other requirements:
- DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
This position requires an NVQ3 or equivalent, at least 2 years of experience, effective communication, a positive attitude, and flexibility. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and will require submission of a Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
