Job Overview

Avery Healthcare is one of the UK’s largest providers of luxury elderly care homes. We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our award‑winning team as a Unit Manager – Clinical at Birchwood Grange Care Home in Harrow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of nurses, senior carers and carers, including demonstrating and instructing care activities.
  • Enhance and promote residents’ quality of life through effective care planning.
  • Manage and participate in rota scheduling to ensure adequate senior care and support coverage at all times.
  • Support the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers in managing medication systems, ordering and distributing prescribed medication to residents.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Active NMC PIN.
  • NvQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • At least two years’ experience working within a care home environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Prerequisites & Checks

  • DBS Disclosure check – cost covered by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
  • NMC PIN essential.
