Avery Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join Greensand House Care Home in Redhill. This permanent position offers a supportive working environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth within Avery’s network of luxury elderly care homes.
Main duties include:
- Working as part of a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and laundry.
- Following standard operating procedures to ensure hotel service standards are maintained.
- Performing cleaning duties according to worksheet instructions.
- Understanding cleaning requirements for various surfaces.
- Respecting residents and their personal spaces.
- Maintaining all areas in good condition.
The role requires knowledge of Health and Safety protocols, experience in public laundry cleaning, and flexibility in responsibilities.
To succeed, you should demonstrate caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable values in all you do. Our ideal candidate must have:
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
- Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
- Compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
- Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.
This role will require an ADBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
