About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant at Scholars Mews Care Home, you support the catering function by preparing food and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. You help deliver high‑quality meals and beverages to residents while upholding the highest standards of hygiene and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare food and beverages in accordance with safe food handling principles.
  • Maintain a clean kitchen environment and ensure food preparation areas meet hygiene standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the team, respond positively to colleagues, and follow work instructions promptly.
  • Advise on the supply and quality of kitchen items, ensuring timely ordering of replacement goods.
  • Act respectfully toward residents and visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
