Main duties of the job
As a Deputy Manager at Sonning Gardens Care Home, you will support the General Manager to run a compliant, person‑centred care home that meets high professional and commercial standards. Your key responsibilities include:
- Providing inspirational leadership and management to the nursing and support staff.
- Ensuring medication policies and procedures are followed and reviewing medication administration.
- Monitoring resident wellbeing and keeping accurate care plans.
- Completing monthly audits, quality indicator reports, and other required documentation.
- Attending weekly clinical meetings and monitoring clinical risk areas.
About you
You should have:
- At least two years of experience in a similar care environment in a management role.
- Excellent leadership, management and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to care management.
- Adaptability and flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.
- Strong commitment to values such as caring, honesty, respect and accountability.
Qualifications
