As Head Chef, you will manage and lead the culinary team, providing nutritionally balanced, high‑quality meals to residents within a set budget. Prepare modified diets that are appealing, well‑balanced, and consistent with IDDSI guidance. Place food orders with approved suppliers, maintain appropriate stock levels and control, and purchase supplies within agreed budget limits. Supervise and direct kitchen staff and the Host team; instruct and demonstrate simple food‑preparation activities to unqualified staff. Practice safe systems of work; assess risks and handle loads responsibly, ensuring the safety of residents, visitors and staff.
Requirements
- Two years’ experience managing a culinary team in the care or hospitality sector.
- A relevant catering qualification (City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ).
- A passion for delivering high‑quality culinary standards to residents.
- Ability to manage and control a budget.
