This is a role for a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. About the role
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work with the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals.

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Senior Care Assistant.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be aware of changes impacting care and care plans, ensure new needs are met, and amend written records to reflect variations.
- Be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
- Support residents with their medication requirements.
- Undertake staff supervisions and support staff with their development where required.
- Act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, and for health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
About you

- Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- Have 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
