Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of changes impacting care and care plans, ensuring new needs are met, and updating written records to reflect variations.
  • Involvement in the person-centred care planning process, including implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Acting as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints escalated.

To be successful, you will demonstrate the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. Our ideal candidate must:

  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 or a minimum of Level 2 NVQ equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Please note this role will require:

  • A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
