Main duties of the job

  • Work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home.
  • Operate according to the standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, maintaining hotel service standards.
  • Carry out cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
  • Understand the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensure that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.

About you

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
  • Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.

  • The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Additional Information

This role will require a DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is also required.
