Avery Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Laundry Assistant for its Westwood Care Home located in Sheringham. This permanent position offers a salary of £12.72 per hour and requires shifts from 8am to 6pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Housekeeper in providing a laundering service to residents.
  • Carry out all laundering duties including washing, folding, and ironing as per wash guide instructions.
  • Handle a wide range of textiles and understand cleaning material properties to keep areas well presented and maintained.
  • Practice safe systems of work across various tasks, particularly moving and handling loads, by assessing risk and considering personal safety, and the safety of residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Contribute fully to teamwork, respond positively to colleagues, and promptly act on all reasonable work instructions.

About You / Qualifications

  • Demonstrate understanding of laundering requirements for various textiles.
  • Have experience working in a similar setting or a hotel.
  • Have a positive attitude towards residents.
  • Demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivery of laundry services to residents.

Additional Requirements

  • Pass an ADBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
