The role of a Senior Care Assistant - Nights at Avery Healthcare involves looking after residents at the Milton Court Care Home located in Milton Keynes. The job requires an individual who is passionate about providing high levels of care and support to residents throughout the night. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will work closely with the care team to deliver exceptional care, ensuring residents are comfortable, safe, and well‑cared for. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring the wellbeing of residents, managing care plans, and supporting staff development. Main duties of the job
- Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
- Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
- Being involved in the person‑centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
- Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
- Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
- Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.

About You

- Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.

- Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
