This is a temporary Maintenance Operative role at Avery Healthcare's Milton Court Care Home in Kents Hill, Milton Keynes. The focus will be on ensuring the building and grounds are well maintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services, and applying basic fixes to equipment and systems to ensure the facilities are fully functional.
Main duties of the job
- Carrying out general maintenance tasks and basic repairs, supporting new residents to arrange their rooms.
- Ensuring routine re-decoration is undertaken.
- Advising on the supply and quality of items.
- Providing out of hours emergency service.
About you

- Have a minimum of one year's experience in a general maintenance or handy person role and/or hold a professional qualification in a trade.
- Hold a full driving licence.
- Have knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
- Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
Qualifications
