Main duties of the job
As a Care Assistant, you will deliver high standards of personal care to residents, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services. Duties include:
- Assisting with personal hygiene
- Recognising and reporting clinical risk areas
- Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors while respecting dignity and individuality

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team for continuity of services:
- Assist residents with all personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect
- Recognise and understand clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infections and escalation of any identified risks in a timely manner
- Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks

- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrate initiative and respect towards residents and team members
- Be an efficient worker who can follow reasonable instructions

Requirements
- DBS Disclosure check – cost covered by Avery Healthcare
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
- Compliance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975
Qualifications
Prior experience is not required. Strong communication, initiative, respect, efficiency, adaptability and flexibility.
