About the role
The Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator will develop and deliver a wide range of activities to support residents’ physical, psychological and social well-being. Key responsibilities include:
- Listening to residents and families to identify life histories, needs and preferences, and compiling detailed life stories.
- Planning and submitting a monthly activity and wellbeing plan, and a weekly overview, to the Home Manager.
- Arranging activities, events and outings, encouraging involvement of staff, relatives and visitors.
- Maintaining a safe living and working environment and contributing to the home’s positive, professional image.
Qualifications and experience
- Previous experience working with older people in a residential nursing or dementia setting.
- Experience organising activities and events.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- A positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
- Living the values of caring, support, honesty, respect and accountability.
Additional requirements
- ADBDS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
