You’ll join Marie Curie's Finance Business Partnering team, supporting the organisation's nine hospices and nationwide nursing services. Working alongside clinical and operational leaders across Caring Services, the team ensures charitable funds are used effectively, sustainably, and in ways that maximise impact for people at the end of life. This is a collaborative, influential, and highly visible team, central to strategic decision-making across a £55m income and £100m expenditure portfolio.
Your Impact:
- Lead and coach a high-performing Finance Partnering team to deliver exceptional service to Caring Services leaders.
- Provide strategic financial advice to Executive and Senior Leadership, influencing decision-making and operational planning.
- Develop multi-year forecasts, scenario models, and financial strategies for the directorate.
- Oversee consolidated management accounts, budgets, and reporting for Caring Services.
- Partner with stakeholders to evaluate business cases, cost improvement plans, bids, and investment proposals.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, insight, and processes across the finance function.
- Produce accurate, timely regulatory returns and support the year-end audit process.
- Build strong relationships with clinical and operational leaders across the UK, acting as a trusted advisor.
Key Criteria:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent).
- Significant experience in senior finance business partnering within a large or complex organisation.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and developing a team.
- Ability to build advanced financial models and communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance colleagues.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify key trends and influence strategic and operational decisions.
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships at all levels.
- Proven ability to challenge existing processes and drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and business performance.
- Previous experience in health, social care, or the charity sector is beneficial.
