Responsibilities
- Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
- Monitor residents' wellbeing, identify changes impacting care and care plans, ensure new needs are met, and update written records accordingly.
- Be involved in the person-centered care planning process, by implementing, monitoring and undertaking monthly evaluations.
- Support residents with their medication requirements.
- Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.
- Act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, and for health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.

- A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.

Person Specification
- To be successful, you will need an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- You will also need to demonstrate a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff, and be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
