Job responsibilities:
- Your focus as General Manager will be to lead and inspire a team to deliver excellent person‑centred quality care to residents in a safe, caring and stimulating environment, whilst meeting regulatory requirements, professional and statutory standards, and business performance targets.
- Ensuring consistent delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care, and ensuring residents receive care based on best practice.
- Being responsible for ongoing recruitment, retention, and development of staff within the Home.
- Acting as focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals involved in residents’ wellbeing.
- Ensuring safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained in accordance with occupancy and dependency.
- Providing ongoing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
- Ensuring costs are well‑managed and maintained within budgetary controls, by reviewing regularly and monitoring stock.
About you:
- To be successful in your application, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do.
- Have a minimum of four years of experience in a similar care environment.
- Have Leadership and Management Level 5 or equivalent.
- Possess excellent leadership and management skills.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and be competent in IT.
- Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

- A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
