Role Overview

The Registered Nurse (Bank) will act as person in charge, stepping in for the Manager when required and ensuring high standards of care to residents at Avery Park Care Home.

Main Duties

• Act as person in charge, stepping in for the Manager when needed.
• Ensure high standards of care for residents.
• Undertake nursing tasks: medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Advise families and GPs on any changes in residents’ conditions and keep them informed and involved in care decisions.
• Deploy and supervise care team staff, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty.
• Provide high standards of care through accurate assessment and planning.

Qualifications and Experience

• First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a care setting.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of care, supported by relevant post‑basic studies/qualification.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
• Sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.

• ADBS Disclosure check (cost covered by the employer).
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
