Main duties of the job:

As a Maintenance Operative, your focus will be to ensure the building and grounds are well maintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services, and applying basic fixes to equipment and systems to ensure facilities are fully functional. Other responsibilities include carrying out general maintenance and repairs, supporting new residents to arrange their rooms, and providing out-of-hours emergency service.

About you:

To be successful in your application, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. Our ideal candidate must:

  • Have a minimum of one year’s experience in a general maintenance or handyperson role and/or hold a professional qualification in a trade.
  • Hold a full driving licence.
  • Have knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
  • Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

This role will require:

  • ADBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
