The role of Chef de Partie at Avery Healthcare involves supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a culinary team that provides high-quality, nutritionally balanced meals to residents. The successful candidate will have a catering qualification, food hygiene certification, and at least 1 year of catering experience. Main duties of the job include:
- Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high-quality culinary service.
- Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard.
- Participating in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss catering functions and address special needs or dietary requirements.
- Supporting cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste.
- Working with the management team to develop and review the menu.

- Hold a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent.
- Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

- Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
A DBS Disclosure check will be required, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is also necessary.
