Job description
As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be on delivering high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Responsibilities include assisting residents with personal hygiene, recognising and escalating clinical risks, and acting courteously towards residents and their visitors. Avery offers a thorough induction and training programme to ensure you feel confident in your role.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
- Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infections and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
- Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
- Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

Qualifications
Experience is not required as Avery Healthcare offers a thorough induction and training programme. The ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate initiative and respect towards residents, be an efficient worker, and be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

- DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
