At Avery Healthcare we support the people who care for residents, enabling them to deliver compassionate, high‑quality care. As a Care Assistant you will provide personal care, ensure continuity of services, and help maintain a respectful and dignified environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily living tasks, encouraging independence and maintaining dignity.
  • Identify and understand clinical risk areas (weight loss, pressure sores, fall risk, infection signs) and promptly alert the team of any concerns.
  • Act courteously towards residents and visitors, upholding each resident’s individuality and dignity.
  • Implement safe systems of work across all duties and follow best practice guidelines.
  • Contribute fully to the care team to ensure seamless continuity of services.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proactive, respectful, and efficient approach to work, following reasonable instructions from team members.
  • Adaptable and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.
