Shift Details
3 shifts per week, 0700‑1930, including alternate weekends.
Job Responsibilities
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
- Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting care and care plans, ensuring new needs are met, and written records are amended accordingly.
- Be involved in the person‑centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
- Support residents with their medication requirements.
- Undertake staff supervisions and support staff with their development where required.
- Act as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals, ensuring that reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
Qualifications & Experience
Our ideal candidate must
- Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- Have at least 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
- Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
- Required Documents and Checks
- DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
- Submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service as per the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
