Overview: Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. This role supports the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, innovative, inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting their care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Being involved in the person‑centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Acting as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in care for care homes.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar care environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Responsive and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities.

Other Requirements:

  • DBS Disclosure check (cost met by Avery Healthcare).
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
