Main duties of the job
As a Food and Beverage Team Member at Avery Healthcare's Beaconsfield Heights Care Home, you will be responsible for supporting the dining service and assisting residents with their meals. This includes helping residents choose their meal options, ensuring dining tables are set to standard operating procedures, keeping the front of the house clean and well‑presented, and replenishing fresh homemade cakes, biscuits, finger food, and fruit throughout the day.
You will need to demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene, and prior experience in a similar setting, restaurant, or hotel would be desirable. A basic Food Hygiene Certificate would also be beneficial.
Shift Details: 07.00 am - 2.30 pm or 11.00 am - 7.00 pm
Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member is to support the dining service and assist residents with their meals:
- Support the residents with choosing their meal options when dining.
- Ensure that the standard operating procedures are followed when setting dining tables.
- Keep the front of the house clean, tidy, and well‑presented and ensure dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
- Ensure fresh homemade cakes, biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas and replenished throughout the day, as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
- Be aware of residents' dietary requirements.
To succeed in your application, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable in all you do. Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene. Have experience working in a similar setting, restaurant, or hotel (desirable). Have a basic Food Hygiene Certificate (beneficial). Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of culinary services to residents.
This role will require a DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is required.
