About the role:

Planning/Scheduling Coordinators evaluate local production capacity and monitor the attainment of production schedules. They assist in forecasting production volumes, material usage, machine capacities, and department resources to plan and schedule production runs in an optimal sequence. Individuals in these roles monitor ship dates and assist with scheduling jobs into the production system. They serve as a point of contact with production, customer service, procurement, and other departments to coordinate efforts across functions. Individuals in these roles gather data and provide reports to assist with capacity evaluations for the departments or technologies they support. Planning/Scheduling Coordinators help troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to missing files, downtime, and equipment failure. Individuals in these roles enter information regarding materials, scheduling, and shipping details into Avery Dennison’s production systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate local production capacity and monitor the overall attainment of production schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Assist in forecasting production volumes, material usage, machine capacities, and department resources to plan runs in an optimal sequence.
  • Monitor critical ship dates and schedule incoming jobs directly into the company's production systems.
  • Serve as the central point of contact between production, customer service, procurement, and other departments to coordinate cross-functional workflows.
  • Gather performance data, generate capacity evaluation reports, and troubleshoot production issues related to missing files, downtime, or equipment failures.

Qualifications Required:

  • Proven proficiency in production planning skills and production scheduling skills within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong capabilities in data entry and data analysis supported by an exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate across internal departments.
