In this role, you will shape how European designers, brands, and label printers encounter and interact with the Avery Dennison brand, contributing to brand awareness, lead generation, and increased sales. You will conduct user research and design across our websites, portal, interactive tools, and emails, utilising the existing Corporate Brand Identity and digital design system. This role can be fully remote with occasional (2-3 times per year) travel to our European HQs in the Netherlands. Please note that for this role we are not looking for a freelancer but a full-time Avery Dennison employee.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaboratively surface user insights, facilitating user testing and drawing on analytics to iteratively optimise the user experience based on behaviour and data.
- Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to demonstrate and test user flows.
- Design fit for purpose pages, components, or templates, utilising the existing design system, to facilitate new content, formats, or functionalities.
- Source and/or art direct compelling imagery — stock, AI-generated, bespoke 3D, or photography — that captures attention and communicates accurately.
- Develop and utilise new email templates that align with our digital design system and audience strategy to improve brand consistency and engagement.
- Act as brand guardian, with shared responsibility for developing and maintaining robust design systems, guidelines and libraries and scalable assets that can be leveraged across the Avery Dennison business.
Qualifications
- A degree in Graphic Design or a relevant field.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with fluency in English.
- Mastery of Figma, Miro, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of digital design principles and UX best practices with evidence of facilitating user testing.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while engaging and collaborating with non-creative stakeholders.
