About the Role

The purpose of this role is to lead and provide support to initiatives in the plant for raw material and supplier quality improvements. This is a Cramlington on-site based role with some travel to other locations required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of supplier KPIs identifying trends and eliminating issues in a proactive manner, identifying high and low performing suppliers.
  • Work with suppliers to identify and lead supplier improvement projects.
  • Act as the main point of contact with suppliers in relation to quality issues and complaints, coordinating sample returns and testing on site in Cramlington where required.
  • Management and updating of the central external supplier claims database for Cramlington.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Cramlington management team in relation to outstanding supplier claims and actions.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical background.
  • Background in high pressure, high volume manufacturing.
  • Strong team player & effective communicator.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, enthusiasm, energy and drive.
  • Computer literate; Google Workspace (G Suite) usage.
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge and experience is desirable.
