You will be joining our Thermopatch Sports UK production site reporting to the operational leader, and be responsible for the production of heat transfer labels and products for our Embelex business within Avery Dennison. Clients include leading sports brands and teamsport clubs such as Premier League football clubs, Castore, Adidas and more as well as other leading workwear brand owners driving high growth in this exciting part of our Avery Dennison business. This position is designed for an individual eager to learn the intricacies of high-end production from the ground up. You will work closely with our expert team, providing essential assistance to Printing and Screen Operatives. This is a hands-on learning opportunity intended for someone looking to master the production process and eventually develop into a full-time Printing Operative.
Shift Pattern: This is an on-site role following a 3 days x 12 hours working pattern, Sunday to Tuesday (Sunday is paid at x). Working Hours: 07:30 to 20:00, inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid lunch break, but additional paid comfort breaks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all tasks required to produce high quality transfers and emblems while maintaining a high degree of flexibility to ensure optimum production capacity.
- Provide cover and support for all roles within the Print department, including printers, screen room, and ink room, as required to meet business needs.
- Consistently and accurately follow all production protocols and procedures to ensure consistent product type and quality.
- Comply with all company policies around Health & Safety and report all known production protocol deviations or abnormalities to your line manager.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience is a distinct advantage, particularly working with Sakurai and/or INO printers.
- Must be a self-starter and proactive in approaching daily tasks.
- Strong team player with the ability to liaise effectively with other members of the team to complete objectives.
- Flexible and able to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
- Willingness to take on additional or alternative tasks as required by the business.
