An Account Manager (AM) at Aver provides strategic counsel and delivers proactive management of B2B PR campaigns for a portfolio of clients. The AM is the driving force behind the delivery of PR activations, leading on and overseeing the media engagement across the team and taking ownership of managing client relationships, ensuring the success of campaigns. They will be responsible for the reporting and analysis of campaign performances and staying up to date with key trends.
They have a strong understanding of the client's business, commercial goals, and objectives and have developed a deep knowledge of the built environment and the competitive landscape in which they operate. Their knowledge of the media is second to none and have nurtured robust media relationships across all B2B outlets. Strategic Counsel and Implementation- Support on the development of client communication strategies
- Lead on the tactical implementation of client communication strategies, remaining strategically focused at all times
- Provide strategic counsel to clients to aid their PR goals and wider commercial objectives
- Safeguard the smooth running of the account, pre-empting and addressing any potential client hurdles or challenges
- Solutions orientated but shows good judgment on when to involve PR Director in day-to-day issues
- Show a high level of business acumen with the ability to communicate across departments and represent PR at a senior level within the business
- Establish strong relationships with existing and new clients across all accounts, proactively nurturing and managing these relationships through counsel, creative problem solving, idea generation and execution
- Manage day-to-day client communication, manage client expectations and make assignments for the team
- Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of client work ensuring it is all geared towards helping to achieve their desired outcomes
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts and ensure a streamlined and effective running of accounts, showcasing outstanding organisational skills and multi-tasking ability
- Manage client input and feedback for all projects with detailed direction and timelines
- Proactively remain connected to clients and the ever-changing market, identifying new opportunities and providing innovative and creative ideas to clients
- Drive successful media relations efforts on behalf of clients through key message development, media training and pitching compelling stories
- Lead by example, building and nurturing relationships with key media contacts across various touchpoints and platforms (including podcasts and national media as well as traditional trade media), encouraging your team to do the same
