About the Role

We’re looking for caring and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our friendly team in Rochester, supporting five adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and communication needs within a residential service. You’ll play an important role in supporting people to live as independently as possible, achieve their personal goals and enjoy fulfilling lives. From helping people develop life skills to supporting them to access their local community, every day brings new opportunities to make a positive difference.

As part of this role, you’ll be required to drive the service vehicle to support people to attend appointments, access their local community and enjoy activities they love, so a full UK manual driving licence is essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support people to live as independently as possible while promoting choice, dignity and respect.
  • Assist with everyday tasks such as cooking, shopping, budgeting and maintaining a home.
  • Encourage participation in hobbies, activities and community life.
  • Support people to build and maintain relationships with family and friends.
  • Provide respectful, person-centred personal care where required.
  • Drive the service vehicle to support people to access appointments, activities and community opportunities.
  • Help people achieve their personal goals and celebrate their achievements, no matter how big or small.
