Autism Hampshire Volunteer Shop Driver - Fareham / Gosport
Join our charity shop team and help keep stock moving between our Fareham shop and our lock-up storage space in Gosport. This practical volunteer role will make a real difference by helping the shop team access the right stock at the right time and make the best use of donated goods.
About the Role:
- Stock Transport: Drive between our Fareham charity shop and our lock-up storage space in Gosport, transporting donated stock safely between the two locations.
- Loading and Unloading: Help load and unload stock from your vehicle, working with the shop team to make sure items are moved carefully and placed in the appropriate location.
- Regular Collections: Support stock movements one to two times per week, usually during weekday opening hours between 9am and 5pm. Exact days and times can be agreed with the shop team.
- Team Support: Keep in touch with the shop team about collections and deliveries and let them know promptly if you are unable to attend an agreed journey.
About You:
- Driver: You must have access to your own car and hold a full, clean driving licence.
- Available: Able to volunteer on weekdays between 9am and 5pm, ideally with availability for one or two stock runs each week.
- Reliable: Dependable and comfortable committing to agreed collection and delivery times.
- Practical: Happy to help with moving stock into and out of your vehicle. Please let us know if you have any access or lifting requirements so we can discuss how the role can work safely for you.
- Team Player: Friendly, helpful and able to work with the shop team to get stock where it needs to be.

Skills:
No previous charity or retail experience is necessary. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised and willing to help. You must have your own car and a full, clean driving licence.
An induction and relevant health and safety guidance will be provided before you start volunteering.

- What is the time commitment?: We are looking for someone who can usually help one to two times per week. Journeys will be arranged during weekdays between 9am and 5pm, with agreed days and times to suit the volunteer and the shop team.
