Avenue are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Production Operator to join a busy and well-established manufacturing facility based in Glenrothes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to become part of a fast-paced production team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating production machinery safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and health & safety.

Full training and progression opportunities are available, including an accelerated development plan to become a Production Tool Setter.

The Role

  • As a Production Operator within Press, your responsibilities will include:
  • Operating power presses, press brakes and projection welding machinery.
  • Carrying out spray painting activities as required.
  • Loading and unloading materials.
  • Inspecting manufactured components to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assembling and packing products ready for dispatch.
  • Manufacturing high-volume components to production deadlines.
  • Supporting the wider production team with additional duties where required.
  • Following initial training, there is an opportunity to progress into a

Production Tool Setter role, where further responsibilities will include machine setting, material handling, supporting preventative maintenance activities and operating forklift trucks (full training provided).

The successful candidate will be expected to

  • Maintain high housekeeping standards within the work area.
  • Ensure all machinery guards and safety equipment are correctly used.
  • Wear the appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Report any maintenance or health & safety concerns promptly.
  • Work in accordance with all company health & safety policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone who has

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment (preferred).
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings and use measuring equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
  • The capability to manually handle goods weighing up to 22kg.
