Overview
We are currently working with an established industrial roofing contractor seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee projects across the Southampton region (within a 2-hour travel radius). This role combines office and site-based responsibilities and is ideal for an experienced Contracts Manager or someone looking to step up from Assistant, Site Manager, or Supervisor level.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage contracts from setup through to completion
- Plan and schedule labour, materials, and resources
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RAMS
- Monitor budgets, costs, and project performance
- Handle variations, valuations, and invoicing
- Coordinate procurement of materials and subcontractors
- Ensure quality standards and compliance with specifications
- Enforce Health & Safety regulations, including CDM 2015
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress reviews
- Act as main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Lead and support site teams and subcontractors
- Provide regular project updates to senior management
Requirements
- Experience in industrial roofing, cladding, or building envelope projects
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of metal roofing systems (single-ply, liquid systems)
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and CDM regulations
- Relevant certifications (CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS preferred)
- Good organisational, leadership, and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Package
- £50,000 – £70,000 salary (DOE) + bonus

Additional Information
Applicants should be able to commute to or relocate to Southampton. Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
