Our client is a fast-growing company backed by major investors. The business partners with leading brands across retail, hospitality and leisure sectors. Due to growth in the business, the legal team is seeking a Property Counsel to help lead on commercial property and general business affairs within the company, helping to transition commercial leasing activities in-house, while setting and streamlining legal strategy in other areas of the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead commercial leasing expertise as the company's property law specialist;
- Design and implement comprehensive plans to bring external legal work in-house;
- Mentor and develop junior legal professionals in technical property matters;
- Handle complex commercial lease negotiations across their growing network.
The ideal hire would be England and Wales qualified with a minimum of three years PQE, and looking to move in-house to a collaborative, modern, and evolving legal team. The incoming hire will report directly to the General Counsel, operating as the number two within the legal team, while delegating to junior team members.
