We are looking for a Senior Engineer, Marine Systems. You will be responsible for supporting the company’s activities worldwide on different projects and will provide technical support with the naval and marine discipline on design and follow-on of new and ongoing projects with floating LNG and FPSO facilities.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Studying and defining the best technical solutions for Marine Systems.
- Preparation of technical specifications and functional requirements for the Marine Systems in FPSO and FLNG, during the front-end Engineering and Design (FEED) and execution on FPSO/FLNG projects.
- Working on or monitoring follow-on and review of FEED and EPC FLNG/FPSO projects and Marine System equipment/P&IDs/PFDs.
- Providing assistance to the company during Technical Clarification meetings and projects HAZID/HAZOP.
- Reviewing project documentation provided by Contractors/Shipyards.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience of working on FEED and EPC LNG projects.
- Seagoing experience as second/chief engineer.
- Experience in working with Oil Tankers/ LNG Carriers.
- Experience as a Classification Society surveyor or Tanker/LNG Ship Vetting engineer.
- Experience in active participation on project’s HAZID/HAZOP is required.
- OPITO certified for offshore travel would be preferable to cover this position.
- Candidate must have specific skill sets in the design of ships’ marine systems, i.e. slop and drain systems, bilge and ballast systems, Inert Gas, production distribution and venting, diesel and gas power generation and their auxiliary systems, fresh water production, compressed air, etc.
- Candidate must have skills and experience on preparation and review of projects P&IDs/PFDs relevant to marine systems.
- Willingness to learn from other specialists.
- Ability to multi-task.
